Many children today are growing up without a strong moral foundation, positive role models, or exposure to the gospel. Families are overwhelmed, culture is increasingly confusing, and children often lack the guidance they need to thrive. At the same time, many churches want to reach the next generation but feel unequipped to engage public schools or train volunteers. As a result, thousands of students remain unreached, and willing believers remain unsure how to help. In The Gap exists to bridge this divide—equipping churches and volunteers to effectively reach children with the hope of Jesus through after-school Bible Clubs, leadership training, and practical tools that make community impact simple, sustainable, and effective.

After-School Bible Clubs

IN THE GAP after-school Bible Clubs are a way to provide a safe, fun, and educational environment where children can learn biblical truths, receive help with homework, and have a structured and positive atmosphere during after school hours. Although the exact structure may vary slightly from location to location, each club consists of large and small group teaching and activities (Bible lessons, stories, songs, games, homework, etc.). Children attend Bible Clubs free of charge because clubs are taught and staffed by local volunteers, and In The Gap staff.

Teaching goes far beyond presenting facts and information to an audience. True teaching involves weaving information into engaging lessons that produce life-change in its participants. The purpose of IN THE GAP’S training courses is to equip youth and adults with tools and teaching methods that will assist them in effectively impacting the next generation of children (ages 4-12, urban to inner-city). We offer training in a variety of areas: character development, children's ministry, child evangelism, leadership development, communication proficiency, time management, large group and small group management techniques, storytelling, and personal development. Operation IMPACT is a summer outreach designed to Connect Churches with Their Communities, Disciple Children, and Mobilize Young People. Our goal for 2025 is to equip and mobilize 100 summer missionaries who will work together to minister to children at 80 Community Bible Clubs in apartment complexes, community centers, and parks across the greater Oklahoma City area. There are children right now growing up with no hope for the future. They are growing up in this fallen world and don’t know that there is a different path that can be taken other than what they’ve always seen. Jesus’ love makes a difference in every aspect of our lives and eternity. We have the opportunity to share Jesus’ love with them, to share hope for their future. Mission 4-14 is a collaborative initiative designed to equip and mobilize churches to bring after-school Bible Clubs to their local elementary schools. In The Gap provides a framework to help churches organize, recruit volunteers, and effectively evangelize and disciple elementary-age children through an after-school Bible Club. There is such an onslaught of evil pouring out on this next generation through media, music, porn, culture, etc., NOW is the time the Church MUST arise and be the light and bring HOPE to children who are desperately looking for answers. In The Gap is partnering with churches, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and community groups to help bring the light of Christ to children across Oklahoma. Learn more: www.Mission414.net

In The Gap Kids is a fun online learning platform that teaches children solid biblical truths in fun memorable ways through puppet shows, scripture memory, songs, Bible lessons, and crafts. With over 500 videos to choose from, children from all ages have the opportunity to draw closer to Jesus and learn His ways. In 2024, God moved powerfully through Operation Impact, our summer outreach program that brings Bible Clubs directly into communities across Oklahoma City. These vibrant, gospel-centered clubs were hosted in apartment complexes, city parks, and local churches — turning everyday spaces into places where children could encounter the love of Jesus.

In 2024, our team worked diligently to equip and mobilize believers across the state. We trained 154 volunteers, representing 24 churches, through our Bible Club Boot Camp training events — equipping them to share the Gospel, disciple children, and effectively lead Bible Clubs. Along the way, we personally met with 77 individuals to share the vision of reaching children through after-school Bible Clubs.

In 2024, we released 32 new videos for children, reaching hearts and homes in 95 countries around the world! These videos received 341,500 total views, and our YouTube subscribers grew by 1,872, bringing the total to over 10,200 subscribers. Children and families watched for more than 12,400 hours this year, bringing the channel’s lifetime watch time to over 49,100 hours and lifetime views to an incredible 1.6 million.

In The Gap’s goals are to equip and mobilize believers to reach the next generation with the gospel by partnering with local churches. Our primary objective is to establish after-school Bible Clubs in every elementary school in Oklahoma, providing children with consistent exposure to God’s truth, caring mentors, and practical character development.
We also train volunteers and young leaders through hands-on programs, leadership development, and ministry coaching. Our long-term goal is to create a sustainable statewide model that empowers churches to impact children in their own communities—and to share this model nationally in the years ahead.

In The Gap achieves its goals by equipping local churches and volunteers with the training, tools, and support they need to launch and lead after-school Bible Clubs in public elementary schools. We provide a turnkey system that includes curriculum, coaching, systems, on-going training, and ongoing mentorship so churches can reach children consistently and confidently.
We also invest in developing young leaders through hands-on ministry training, service opportunities, and leadership development programs. By building strong partnerships, offering practical resources, and establishing repeatable systems, we create a sustainable model that empowers churches to impact their communities long-term.
