Mission

Mission Statement The Neuro-Immune Disease Alliance (NIDA) is dedicated to improving the quality of life of people suffering from Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) and related chronic complex diseases by accelerating collaborative research towards finding a cure and providing patient and family support. We support medical education to increase the number of clinicians that are aware of and can treat these diseases.

The Neuro-Immune Disease Alliance (NIDA) is dedicated to improving the quality of life of people suffering from Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) and related chronic complex diseases by accelerating collaborative research towards finding a cure and providing patient and family support. NIDA is supporting the efforts of Open Medicine Foundation to move research fast forward and increase and improve medical education.

The Neuro-Immune Disease Alliance (NIDA) raised funds by fundraisers, walks and soliciations. NIDA sents out email requests and follows up with letters.

The Neuro-Immune Disease Alliance (NIDA) has been able to fund research since 2011.

The Progress of these efforts has been tremendous. The Cytokine study yielded results that lead to a full grant over $850,000. The Bio-Processing Lab is being used daily to prepare samples for research. The MTHFR Study is currently underway. NIDA continues to help OMF fund medical education and research projects.
