What we aim to solve
How best for World University and School to offer free education, courses, and degrees in all known languages, - and sustainably? And how best WUaS (http://worlduniversityandschool.org - like Wikipedia in 300 languages with best CC-4 best STEM OpenCourseWare) to facilitate all levels of teaching and learning through open, editable wikis, sustainably? WUaS plans to accredit at the university and high school levels to offer online degrees and diplomas in all countries' main languages. WUaS’s wiki will involve open and editable teaching and learning but also non-editable courses prepared under a Creative Commons’ license. WUaS will facilitate the use of free CC courses as credits toward degrees. Due to the rapid spread of broadband worldwide, WUaS plans to make this accessible to underserved parts of the world and to poor people everywhere. WUaS will explore the possibility of using universal translators to extend the project automatically to any language with time.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
In seeking to collaborate now further with CC-4 licensed "CS First with Google at WUaS", and in an ongoing way with best STEM CC-4 OCW.MIT.EDU, CC-4 MIT OCW-centric wiki World University and School's goals (http://worlduniversityandschool.org/) include creating online wiki schools in all 7,151+ languages for people-to-people teaching and learning, and developing online free Bachelor, Ph.D., Law and Medical degrees, as well as International Baccalaureate (I.B.) high school diplomas, in many of ~200 nation states, first in English, then in these countries' main and official languages. WUaS plans also to create an online Music School in all languages, for example, and for all instruments, each a wiki subject page to begin. WUaS also plans to aggregate most online libraries and museums in most languages. And WUaS plans to develop an Universal Translator, among other goals. WUaS also plans to become the Harvard / Stanford / Oxbridge of the Internet in all languages and countries. (Wikipedia is in ~300 languages and best STEM CC-4 OCW is in 6 languages, by way of comparison).
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
In adopting a long term plan of action of becoming the Harvard / Stanford / Oxbridge / University of California, plus, of the Internet in all 7151 living languages and in ~200 countries, and over centuries even, CC-4 MIT OCW-centric CC-4 CS "First with Google at WUaS" plans first to build out, and aggregate, in these main areas online: Courses, Subjects, Languages, Nation States, Library Resources, Museums, Research, Educational Software, You at WUaS, and Hardware Resource Possibilities, and in many languages, as inter-lingual wiki (editable web pages), and probably in Wikipedia's Wikidata/Wikibase (see also, for example - http://worlduniversityandschool.blogspot.com and https://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/global%20university). WUaS also plans to accredit upon and aggregate CC-4 best STEM OCW.MIT.EDU (OpenCourseWare - see, for example - http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/audio-video-courses/) now in 6 languages (e.g. https://ocw.aprende.org/courses/translated-courses/), as well as CC-3 Yale OYC (Open Yale Courses - e.g. http://oyc.yale.edu/).
WUaS's Business Plan (https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Business_Plan) as a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization includes:
- fundraising from individuals, foundations, companies and governments plus, both in the U.S. and internationally;
- collaboration financially with governments in all 200+ countries in main languages in them, for free WUaS degrees (regarding Creative Commons' 4 licensed ocw.mit.edu -centric WUaS courses);
(and also at WUaS:
- an online bookstore / computer store for text- and course books, and learning resources, planned for all 7,151+ languages
- an Academic Press - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Academic_Press_at_World_University_and_School - as well as academic journals planned for many of all 7,151+ languages).
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Besides engaging the resources of Creative Commons' licensing, and Wikipedia's new CC Wikidata/Wikibase inter-lingual database, WUaS also plans to build both a faculty of graduate student instructors, and eventually full time university faculty, as well as grow a volunteer community in most of 7,151+ languages. In addition, WUaS plans to build courseware-wise on best STEM-centric OCW such as best STEM CC-4 OCW, and especially its STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics - e.g. https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/STEM_Education_-_Science,_Technologies,_Engineering_and_Mathematics#World_University_and_School_Links) centricity in large languages and especially online. The resulting conversation between students and faculty in many languages will itself become a resource or capability. (See, for example: Creative Commons Law at WUaS - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/Creative_Commons_Law).
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Thus far, progress for WUaS has been incremental and step by step (e.g. WUaS incorporated in 2010, WUaS then received tax-exempt ruling in 2014; contact people for further information about this, for example, at the World University Foundation- https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/World_University_Foundation. Next key steps include becoming financially operational, collaborating further with CC-4 licensed "CS First with Google at WUaS" hiring WUaS's first staff, and then seeking WUaS's first applicants for "The College at WUaS" probably in autumn 2015 - https://wiki.worlduniversityandschool.org/wiki/The_College_at_World_University_and_School#World_University_and_School_Links - then, in English, matriculating WUaS's next undergraduate class probably on 9/1/22, then matriculating WUaS's first Ph.D. class possibly in 2023 too, then Law in 2024 and Medicine in 2025, and then graduating WUaS's first undergraduates probably in 2026. Further forward movement will emerge from all this in a remarkably wide variety of ways academically, and in terms of an open teaching and learning conversation, and over centuries.
In the June of 2022, the WUaS migration journey to Wikibase.cloud was completed - https://worlduniversityandschool.blogspot.com/2022/06/sat-52122-minutes-for-world-univ-sch.html - and so was the WUaS porting over of roughly 730 wiki pages into Wikibase.
