Our Curriculum program directly tackles the chronic student high dropout rates, substantial need for academic remediation prior to and in college and persistent opportunity gaps. Too many youth find little connection between school and their interests and aspirations, resulting in academic disengagement, and lack of career awareness and preparedness. We give students good reasons to get and stay engaged in school. By shifting the role of students to active participants in their learning, Educurious fosters students' abilities to collaborate, persist in their endeavors, communicate effectively, and increase their subject knowledge and ability to apply that information to authentic problems. Our problem-based learning approach helps students develop higher order thinking skills and responsibly take action on real-world issues that matter to them. We combine challenging projects, technology-rich digital tools, a network of working professionals who volunteer as mentors and expose students to an array of professions, and professional learning for teachers, all elements shown to affect student engagement and achievement.

Educurious' Career Connection program and Expert Network offer students an effective way to engage in work-based learning drawn from authentic issues, use tools and approaches used by professionals in the field, and experience job shadows and internships in real work environments. Most successful individuals recognize they are products of their networks with role models who helped shape their identities, support aspirations, and connect them to resources along their way. Too many youth in our region lack adults in their lives to help them develop such networks. Relatedly, businesses struggle to connect with qualified workers.70 percent of employers report graduates are deficient in critical thinking, problem solving skills and experiences essential to successful job performance. Through Career Connection and Expert Network communication platforms and in-person relationships, working professionals mentor students through work-based problems and support them to complete significant projects and develop the skills needed for successful careers. By connecting students with professionals, students gain a better understanding of the demands of given fields, develop knowledge about career paths, and create powerful networks for the future. They learn to be flexible, self-directed learners, experience deepened engagement, and emerge with the knowledge, skills and dispositions for college success and workforce readiness.

Our Youth employment work offers young people awareness, explorations and experiences in career connected learning along with the opportunity to better understand their interests and goals through internships and full time employment. These work experiences are crucial to provide them with pathways to career readiness.

Our founders and team bring 300 years of collective experience and practical innovation in education on their mission to dramatically improve student success across America. Our expertise in integrating how people learn into solutions and products for school leaders and educators emphasizes relevant, authentic learning and preparation of young people for college and career readiness.

We have grown the number of students we serve by approximately 10,000 every year. We have similarly expanded the number of courses and professional services we offer. In addition, we have taken on more work in career connected learning and youth employment fields to better combine the work young people do both in and out of school.

We are now moving into Expansion stage to establish a scalable business model that accelerates distribution and growth and enhances self-sustainability while serving all children, especially more underserved youth.
