Mission

The Cheshire Food Pantry is a community organization that provides food in situations for all eligible individuals and families in need, regardless of their race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, or disability. Free-will donations come from the general Cheshire community. We accomplish equitable distribution through the generous giving of time and labor by an organized team of compassionate volunteers.

This program provides all a family needs for a Thanksgiving Dinner including the Turkey.

We aim to eliminate hunger in the town of Cheshire and provide food & other life necessities.

We are working on developing a community outreach program to ensure all Cheshire residents are aware of our services. We also are planning to work with other organizations in town to increase our donations.

As of right now we are in a strong position to accomplish our goals however we need to increase a steady stream of revenue support. Increasing the number of individuals using our pantry means that we will need to increase expenses and staff support. All are factors we are beginning to plan and organize.

So far we have made a few meetings and appointments with other local leaders. We are also working to revise a brochure that describe the pantry, our services and also our needs. That brochure will be placed at key locations within town. Next steps also include finding grant support & strengthening the partnerships we have with area organizations.
