Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Accelerating Women Entrepreneurs Program
Accelerating Women Entrepreneurs ("AWE") program, utilizes our peacebuilding model to demonstrate that neighbors that trade together make peace together. Since 2009, PTC has partnered with women entrepreneurs to advance peace in areas of conflict. Women of different faiths pledge to work together to grow their own businesses and act as peacebuilders in their community.
Thought Leadership and Education
Our peacebuilding technology is called the Matrix of Peace Whole Systems Model–-a robust, multi-sector, living systems and consciousness model for designing and actualizing peaceful societies. Its parameters assume society is conscious, dynamic, living, chaordic, intelligent, and progressive.
The Matrix illuminates the core values, beliefs, and consciousness ecosystem forces of a community and identifies the best practices for peacebuilding within and among the key societal sectors–public, private, and civil society. It leads people to understand problems like poverty, war, inequality, and climate change from both human consciousness and best practices viewpoints. The Matrix methodology points out areas of values-agreement and guides stakeholders to create new solutions to age-old problems from a different level of consciousness than that which created them.
The purpose of the Matrix is to create an ecosystem of societal peace. The definition of societal peace in Matrix terminology is that time when society is generating justice, prosperity, and sustainability sufficiently to become a self-balancing, self-correcting, flourishing ecosystem of societal peace.
The bringing together of historically siloed and sometimes hostile sectors, honoring the consciousness forces at work within them, and creating a peacebuilding systems model to understand them is the creative gift of Peace Through Commerce and its Matrix of Peace Whole Systems Model.
IN SHORT, PEACE THROUGH COMMERCE IS A DEDICATED TEAM OF PEACEBUILDERS IN THE “MIND-CHANGING” BUSINESS.

Peace Through Commerce works to create innovative solutions to complex challenges by seeing peace as a byproduct of a well-functioning system.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Using the Matrix of Peace model, PTC highlights how each sector of a community (public, private and civil society) must work cooperatively and with best practices in order to produce justice, sustainability and prosperity for its members. As a unique contribution to peacebuilding sector, the Matrix of Peace model also concentrates on the consciousness level (or core values) within a community and aims to demonstrate how individuals and groups can work together in ways that produce peace. PTC fulfills its mission through thought leadership and education - such as global convenings with all sectors - and demonstrates the success of its model through on-the-ground work.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
PTC utilizes a wide network of expertise and thought leaders in the public, private and civil society sectors to help develop its peacebuilding model and apply it to specific contexts.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
PTC has empowered women entrepreneurs as local peacebuilders through its work in Isreal since 2009. Through the Fellowship Program, PTC tracks how women from disparate backgrounds come together and increase one another's understanding of protracted conflict and ultimately, create prosperity for their own community. Through its thought-leadership arm, PTC has participated and co-produced forum events with major partners in business, nonprofits and academia. In 2016 and 2017, PTC has worked with the Norwegian Nobel Institute to support peacebuilding forums that advance the work of Nobel Laureates, both in the United States and in Oslo, Norway.
