Mission

Our mission is to achieve exceptional academic results through individualized instruction. I·School’s science-based approach assesses each student’s needs, interests, and capabilities to develop a learning plan unique to that student. In contrast to a one-size-fits-all approach to education, we adapt the academic opportunities to each student; as a result, each I∙School student is on a different but equally successful path to college or career success. Our approach has met with considerable success, both quantitatively by student test results (ACT, SAT, Accuplacer) and qualitatively by parent and student testimonials (greatnonprofits.org). We believe this individualized approach, using neuroscience and technology to personalize academic experience, is the future of successful education.

Scholarship Program for Underserved Students

The greater Lake Tahoe recreational area relies on a vast network of workers in the hospitality industry to support the steady flow of tourists. Many of these are Hispanic and other workers whose children constitute a significant portion of the enrollment in the elementary schools, but many of whom drop out before completing high school. ISchool works with many of these highly motivated students to help them with the English, math, and other support they need to succeed in college and career, including career counseling, preparation for standardized tests, and opportunities to earn college credit while in high school. We welcome scholarship support to help these deserving students.
