What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The problem is that we live in a fallen world and families have been fractured due to poverty, illness, sin, and lack of education. We know that children grow best in families, so the best option is to keep families together through sustainable business, training, and opportunities. We hope to reduce the number of children becoming orphans in the next generation. When this is not a viable option, we want to empower local leaders who are helping orphans, widows, and vulnerable people in their communities. We want to meet immediate needs, but more so, work toward orphan prevention and family preservation.

Connect

127 Worldwide exists to connect you to God’s work of caring for orphans, widows, and vulnerable communities so that you have pathways to live out James 1:27.

Population(s) Served
Economically disadvantaged people
Orphans
Caregivers
Widows and widowers

As we connect you to 127 partners, we also equip you to think with gospel clarity and to act in ways that promote human dignity, empowerment, and cultural awareness. We truly believe that vulnerable communities can flourish, and through both gospel proclamation and long-term commitment to community development, we labor towards that end.
We value innovation and strive to bring the very best of what we can offer to our partners for them to steward as suits their ministries. We’re committed to healthy engagement and are constantly learning how to better invest in ways that transform whole communities to thrive.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We desire to raise awareness and motivate to action Christians in America who have God-given talents to serve the vulnerable. We desire to connect and equip local leaders who are already helping the vulnerable in their communities. We desire to provide support to both the volunteer and the local leader as they seek ways to tangibly live out James 1:27. We desire to continually build healthy relationships with people who can both benefit from the relationship as they work together and serve communities.

We are capable, but are needing to expand our network of people and support. We have 3 full-time employees and 3 part-time employees who are committed to the vision and mission of the organization. We have made strides in the last 18 months to secure a firm foundation that can sustain future growth and expansion. We are excited at the forward momentum that we are seeing!

Since we began in 2011, we have been able to raise $4.3 million dollars, mobilize over 300 volunteers, advocate to 30,000 people about the cause, and directly impact 4,000 orphans, widows, and vulnerable people.
