Via an election process carried out by the Membership and Board, the ceremony will honor 6 Living, 6 Deceased, and one Legendary Radio Station, all chosen for their stellar contributions to the art of Radio Broadcasting in the State of Tennessee. Future: Retro Radio Station Studio
One goal of the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame is to build a working radio studio using refurbished, vintage broadcast gear, as a testament to the technology of the 60s and 70s, as well as the artistry it took for the announcers and engineers to operate it, all while talking and entertaining LIVE on the air, without the computers and voicetracking of today.
Future: Tennessee Radio Hall Of Fame Museum
A brick-and-mortar physical location to display a working, vintage radio studio, plus exhibits detailing the major milestones, radio stations, and Hall of Fame Inductees who were part of the evolution of the art of radio in Tennessee. Includes a small operational staff.
