What we aim to solve

There is a severe lack of residential and employment opportunities for those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities or Differences and Vanguard Landing will offer many new choices for meeting that need. Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We are developing a 75 acre Intentional Community for those with and without Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities with residential, employment and social/recreational/athletic/educational offerings.

We are a 501 c 3 Non Profit formed with a Board of Directors and now the first four Senior Directors in place ready to go; We have a Developer and Construction and Design Team, a Capital Fundraising Team to manage the Capital Campaign and A Fundraising Event Team to oversee Signature Events. We have launched our initial Capital Campaign, "It's TIME for VANGUARD LANDING" to raise the needed cash equity to secure our initial financing to complete most of our Phase One Community. We will continue with that Capital campaign to add three additional buildings to our site. We will have numerous opportunities for residential, employment, fitness, educational , social, friendship and volunteering to offer a Very Good Life at Van Guard Landing!

We have a professional Team comprised of Engineers. attorneys, architects, contractors, financial planners, business leaders and special educators combined with a Business Plan that was submitted for a professional Review by The McGladrey Group in Chicago to certify the viability of it.

Initially negotiated a deal with the city of Virginia Beach to garner a 0% loan to buy our land, have held numerosu Successful Signature Fundraising Events, have a waitlist of 345 applicants, community support, site plans and buildings have been submitted for permitting which is the last piece needed to close on our Construction financing. We are planning GroundBreaking Ceremony to be followed by the start of site work!
