Neighborhood Cleanups

The Belmont Community Association (BCA) is proud to adopt the 1000-1800 Pegram Street and 800-1300 Belmont Avenue blocks in our neighborhood in collaboration with Keep Charlotte Beautiful. The BCA was recognized with the 2023 Bag Chaser Award for leading a cleanup with the most bags collected out of 400 clean up programs.

Population(s) Served

The Belmont Community Association has a very active Land Use Committee. The mission of the Land Use Committee is to identify, research, and inform on land use issues that impact the Vision of the Belmont Community.

The Land Use Committee reviews all rezoning and development petitions and works to encourage positive development and investment that is mindful of the history and integrity of the neighborhood.

Population(s) Served

The Belmont Community Association hosts monthly community meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at 6 PM at the Salvation Army location at 901 Belmont Avenue. The meetings are very informational about what's happening in the community engaging Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) community officers to deliver their Significant Event and Activity Log (SEAL) report and also including a variety of other business including upcoming neighborhood events and presentations from other organizations supporting the association's mission.
