Harpers Ferry Folk Life and Cultural Center
The Harpers Ferry-Bolivar Historic Town Foundation has embarked on a campaign to purchase and restore the historic 1889 First Zion Baptist Church. The now abandoned church was a cornerstone of early African American life in our communities. We aim to preserve and interpret this important site and to see it rehabilitated into a secular community arts center.
