Mission

Westford Education Foundation, established in 2003, raises money to fund grants for innovative educational projects and professional development topics consistent with the Westford Public School curriculum but beyond the scope of the approved school budget. WEF is comprised entirely of volunteers who promote innovation, build a wide communtiy of support, foster ideas, channel resources and fund exceptional learning programs.

WestFest

Westford Education Foundation sponsors a community-wide fair each fall for children, their families, teachers, school administrators, and the general public, featuring food trucks, games, and performances by local groups to promote excellence in education. Proceeds from this event fund grants for innovative education programs and professional development opportunities for teachers in Westford, MA.

Westford Education Foundation sponsors a semi-formal night of dancing and fun for children in grades K-5 accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children have the opportunity to dance to music by a local DJ, play musical games, and get their faces painted. In addition, adults can bid on silent auction and raffle items. A photographer is on-site for family portraits available for purchase after the event. Children receive a swag bag of treats! Proceeds from this event fund innovative educational programs and professional development opportunities for teachers in Westford, MA.
