What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God has not been proclaimed in its fullness through missionary efforts over the last century. Nation around the world are languishing in poverty (both spiritual and physical), which is directly tied to lies embedded in their culture. People need mentoring to recognize cultural beliefs that are holding them back, and they need resources (some already at their disposal but not recognized), both for immediate survival and as a "hand up" in overcoming their circumstances through their own God given abilities to work, create and innovate. Faith based people in the west have gifts and abilities that can greatly contribute to solving the problems in the developing world, while also bringing fulfillment to their own lives. They need to be encouraged and empowered to join God in his missions to redeem and restore across the world.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We want to see the calculus on poverty change, by pairing groups in North America with people in developing countries to assist with mentoring and resource needs (training, financial, physical) to help majority world people see their capacity and ability to change their own lives and communities.

Our strategy is to find exceptional leaders in the developing world to work with, and pare these people with churches and groups in North America who have skills, abilities and resources to impact change. We also mentor and train North Americans to expand their understanding of global poverty issues, the role they play in God's global purposes, and how they can train those in the developing world in concepts that will free them from cultural bondage.

We have a wealth of intellectual, experiential and relational capital within our staff to engage with our vision. We can execute training, provide resources, take care of travel logistics and manage ongoing projects for the people who engage with us in our vision.

We have sent many teams doing acts of compassion (providing funding and labor for homes, food, water needs, training) in the last eight years, and are retooling our strategy to address the concerns articulated above. In 2018 with a new focus, we have begun training some people who travel in doing orientations to gauge the interest in cultural mentoring, and have begun seeking additional projects that will lead to virtuous market activity, an essential element of poverty alleviation. We will also be working on a new video curriculum to address lack of understanding in the western church of these issues.
