Mission

The Friends of Plant Conservation (FoPC) support the mission of the North Carolina Plant Conservation Program (PCP) to permanently conserve native plant species in their natural habitats across the state. FoPC accomplishes its goal through outreach and education, fundraising, and stewardship activities on PCP’s Plant Conservation Preserves.

Work and Learn Days

The Friends of Plant Conservation with cooperation and assistance from the NC Plant Conservation Program (PCP) schedule Work & Learn opportunities at PCP Conservation Preserves across the state. Volunteers have the opportunity to learn more about the site, visit some of the sensitive areas to learn more about the protected species, and gain the satisfaction of helping protect the site by removing invasive plants and other stewardship activities.
