MOMS ACROSS AMERICA
Empowered Moms, Healthy Kids
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
1 out of 2 children in America have a chronic illness. 1 out of 2 males and 1 out of 3 females are expected to get cancer. 1 out of 6 children have learning disorders and 1 out of 5 Americans have a mental illness. At Moms Across America, we see our children and neighborhood friends get better when they avoid consuming GMOs, pesticides, and environmental exposure to toxic chemicals. After decades of trusting the food system, product manufacturers, and medical practitioners without question, the science is now clear that our children especially suffer from toxic burden and that the public must educate ourselves to prevent further harm. Moms Across America is at the forefront of creating healthy communities by speaking directly to the heart of American families to raise awareness about these issues. We inspire and shift paradigms in health, food, toxins, and the environment. We have integrity, innovation, and unstoppable tenacity that creates trust and clarity.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Research
In 2016, MAA sponsored extensive tests of 167 toxins on 36 children both with and without autism symptoms to assess their level of toxins. The report, in conjunction with tests by a Canadian agency, revealed surprising information in a report released in 2017. Also in 2016 we tested for glyphosate in vaccines and released a report calling for the FDA and CDC to test for glyphosate in vaccines and require the removal of this weed killer in the ingredients. we also released a supporter's test results of glyphosate in wine, which has provoked wineries to test their wine.
Health Solutions
MAA's supporters asked MAA leadership to not only present the information which is seen as "the problem" but also the solutions as well. Because MAA has been a trustworthy source of information, supporters asked us to sort through the large array of supplements and provide health solutions that work to support the gut and body. After careful deliberation, and with expert advice, we decided that we would fulfill our supporter's requests. This service to the public, of reviewing many supplements and selecting only those which come highly advised, tested and with many testimonials from mothers, has been an honor and responsibility we do not take lightly.
Educational Outreach
Founder Zen Honeycutt personally coordinated, presented at, or attended 101 events for educational outreach purposes in 2016. Such events included the Monsanto Tribunal at the Hague and a conference in France on Glyphosate. MAA supported 88 other events across the country with materials, volunteers, and promotion. Zen held 40 video conference calls to connect moms and supporters nationwide in 2016.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to educate and inspire mothers and others to transform the food industry and environment, creating healthy communities together. We strive to empower community leaders to be global game changers in health across America and around the world. Through providing educational materials, training, coaching calls, local campaigns, and legislative actions, we aim to reverse the rising trend of disease, autism, allergies, and autoimmune issues in our children.
Our goal is to have safe, organic, and non-toxic foods, products, medical treatments, and environments for our children and families. GMOs will be obsolete and small, organic, local, regenerative farm systems will be the norm.
Our motto is Empowered Moms, Healthy Kids. Together, with dads, scientists, farmers, doctors, lawyers, and family...our goal is health and freedom for generations to come.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our organization focuses on three primary programs to fulfill on our mission to educate and inspire mothers and others to transform the food industry and environment, creating healthy communities together.
1. Research and Support of Honest Science - we look for and find the science that connects the dots of the health dilemmas facing our children. We also commission survey testing and support independent science by sharing their findings to our network in a clear and relatable manner.
2. Grassroots Education and Outreach - we invite our supporters to engage with their neighbors and communities by hosting or joining into local events. We provide professional, relatable, and family-friendly flyers that clearly explain not only the problems we face but the solutions as well. Our outreach includes but is not limited to our neighbors, doctors, lawyers, teachers, policymakers and politicians.
3. Sharing Solutions - We connect and empower our moms to share their solutions throughout our national and global network. We provide solutions for health and activism to affect policy changes on our website, video calls, email alerts, and through our social media.
Our strategy is to create innovative campaigns, provide clear and relatable information, connect our supporters and share solutions that bring health and freedom to communities in America and around the world.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are highly capable of accomplishing our goals because:
1. We, mothers, are the most affected by our children's health issues and therefore we assert are the most effective at communicating with others to create change in this area.
2. We are at the front lines of our children's health; the ones most likely to notice that they are sick or have learning delays, the ones to take them to the doctors, and the ones to support them through sickness and learning challenges.
3. Our organization is run and supported by driven individuals with a very specific focus on health, solutions, and local leadership.
4. Our organization has numerous advisors with expert experience in food, nutrition, health, farming, science, law, and education.
5. Multinational corporations can influence universities to fire scientists, reporters, or doctors that speak the truth about injustices in our food system or medical fields, but they cannot fire a mom.
We will not stop, we will not give up, because the love for our families will never end. We are unstoppable, and that makes us highly capable of achieving our goals.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Moms Across America has initiated many campaigns, commissioned many testing surveys, and fostered the policy change of many towns, cities, counties, and countries since 2013.
A few of these accomplishments include:
1. Initiating the Moms Across America March to Label GMOs on July 4, 2013, where 170+ groups joined into Independence Day parades to raise awareness about GMOs, reaching thousands locally and millions nationally in a single day in a fun and family-friendly way.
2. Since then 600+ leaders have joined into or hosted 1000+ local events nationwide and our information has been published or broadcast hundreds of times. MAA had a series of 5 non GMO and organic awareness billboards posted in 191 locations nationwide in 2016.
3. Moms Across America initiated the first public glyphosate testing campaign in America in 2013 and found glyphosate in our children's urine, tap water, and mother's milk. This testing survey sparked testing from other consumer groups, organizations, and government agencies, affecting global policy change.
4. Moms Across America has been a driving force for change in the food and chemical and industry by speaking at shareholder meetings, conferences, initiating lawsuits, and having a presence in the media. MAA's Op-Eds, articles, and publishing of a book titled UNSTOPPABLE Transforming Sickness and Struggle into Triumph, Empowerment, and a Celebration of Community have been or are being translated into other languages around the world.
5. Moms Across America continues to receive a growing number of testimonials from our supporters and doctors that their family's or patient's health improves when they go organic and avoid GMOs and toxic exposure.
6. Organic food products are now growing 3x faster than the conventional food products and 82% of American households now buy some organic.
7. MAA has identified over 200 locations (including 34 countries) on our Toxin Free Zone map that have restricted or banned the use of glyphosate and toxic chemicals and 64 countries that label or ban GMOs, choosing organic or permaculture landscaping or organic/ biodynamic agriculture instead.
