What we aim to solve
We aim to understand and address incidents of violence and unhealthy behavior through prevention and intervention. We recognize that there are people who require assistance whether it be due to domestic violence, sexual assault, human-trafficking, elder abuse, hate crimes, or other forms of violence and/or unhealthy behavior. Our FSP seeks to provide linguistically and culturally appropriate services through bilingual/multicultural staff that many mainstream providers are unable to offer. One of our most important goals is to educate and empower individuals, families, and community members (particularly immigrants and new Americans), so that they have the right tools to have a fulfilling life in the United States while also being able to honor and celebrate their heritage. Our staff attend extensive training to reduce harm, uphold ethics, and be trauma-informed, to better serve our clients and their families. We host events that provide training on sexual assault, culturally specific a

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
To understand an individual, we must also understand their environment and their background. To better improve the quality of life for our clients and families, we work with our partner agencies and community leaders, to develop and continue maintaining programs that work to support our individuals and communities. Programs including Healthy Asian Youth (HAY), Asian Health Initiative (AHI) Free Clinic, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, voter engagement, Hepatitis B health screenings, and many other programs.
We want the world to know that culture and identity are important and that we exist to decrease those gaps in services. Our agency is here, we exist and want people to know that we can help provide support, advocacy, and many other services.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our agency utilizes a variety of help from the community. We gladly accept material and monetary donations, as well as volunteer hours, and in-kind donations. Aside from donations, spreading information, awareness, and attending our events and info sessions to be better informed is a great start. We want our communities to better understand our roles and services that we provide. Our main goals are to educate, empower, and spread awareness.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We serve multiple counties and cities. In the past 40 years, we have served countless survivors and have provided outreach to various communities in Central Ohio.
Each department that we have in our agency serves a variety of clients. For example, our Family Support Program serves about 50-100 folks a year and we provide outreach to over 500 people, through our social media, tabling events, and flyers that we post.
In our Free Clinic, we serve about 300 people a year and provide information and outreach to about 500 people.
Our various departments serve various people and populations. We aim to provide information and education and to date, we have shared our mission and services to over 10,000 people including: survivors, clients, law enforcement, the legal system, counseling services, etc.
