Mission

The Kentucky Conservation Foundation supports powerful and innovative programs in Kentucky supporting clean air, clean water, and a healthy environment. As the charitable 501(c)3 sponsor of the Kentucky Conservation Committee, We work to enhance and protect the Commonwealth’s rich biodiversity, educate the public on land conservation issues, promote sustainable use of energy, and alert the public to health issues involving extreme energy extraction. We believe in empowering communities for a just transition to a sustainable future.

This project involves empowering communities on clean energy and efficiency options, education and outreach, including a focus on rural and low-income communities and efficient schools.

This project is focused on building support for Kentucky's unique, rare and threatened plants and animals, and conservation of lands where native plants and species are threatened.

This project is focused on building  coalitions in support of wild public lands for recreation, tourism, and the enjoyment of all Kentuckians, with a particular focus on Eastern Kentucky lands and state nature preserves lands in the east as a driver of tourism and transition employment for coal communities.
