Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Our programs for the Cincinnati tri-state area are empowering families with life-affirming services and building a culture of life in our community. We provide a wide range of services that encourage and strengthen family bonds.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Pregnancy Services
We cover a wide variety of needs relating to an unexpected pregnancy. We offer free and confidential medical-grade pregnancy testing and pregnancy counseling services. We perform on-site ultrasounds free of charge by a licensed practitioner. We have a male mentoring program, adoption services, Natural Family Planning assistance, free STI/STD testing, and post-abortive care healing. PCE is the first pregnancy center to offer clients the opportunity to meet for their initial prenatal care visits on-site via video conference. Clients will immediately be able to talk directly and privately to a healthcare provider face-to-face to schedule appointments, ask questions, and begin care.
Parenting Education and Material Assistance
Our Parenting Education program presents free parenting classes for six-consecutive weeks, three times a year. The courses provide group discussion and information on nutrition, infant brain development, labor and delivery, baby basics, first aid, budgeting, feeding options/breastfeeding support, discipline, and offer support for parents before and after their baby is born. Once parents have attended all six consecutive classes, they receive a gift card for a new crib and mattress.
Our Material Assistance program provides baby supplies, clothes, strollers, formula, diapers and maternity wear to families in need every three months.
24/7 Hotline
We answer over 6,000 calls annually on our 24/7 hotline. Our compassionate and caring staff answer questions and provide support for people in distress and crisis. We provide answers, resources and sometimes just a listening ear in a confidential, non-judgemental setting.
Chastity Education Program
Our program teaches 4,300 students annually the beauty and truth of St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body, in a way that gives students practical and real-life applications. We examine topics of authentic relationships, dating, human dignity, and the gift of human sexuality through the lens of the virtue of Chastity. We offer this incredible program at no cost to students, parents, and schools.

Goals & Strategy

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Rooted in the God-given dignity of each human life beginning at fertilization, Pregnancy Center East assists those who face difficulties arising from an untimely pregnancy, offers life-affirming alternatives to abortion and promotes chastity.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
By offering numerous life-affirming programs, services, and accurate information for families, we have the opportunity to reach a diverse socio-economic clientele from 98 zip codes in the tri-state area. We have a registered sonographer and a medical doctor on staff that utilizes the latest medical technology to help women and men choose life for their unborn children. Our center has a 3D/4D ultrasound machine which provides 3D images as well as 4D videos to clients. We have a strong volunteer base who receive training and education from a medical professional with additional classes throughout the year.
Our chastity program has a full-time staff who encourage and teach the beauty and truth of St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body, in a way that gives students/parents practical and real-life applications counteracting the cultural confusion that exists in society.
Our Christ-centered board and staff are committed and skilled members with a depth of talent suited to the needs of PCE as expressed in its overall goal and mission statement.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Capabilities
• Strong leadership with faith-filled staff and board
• Financially sustainable model
• Strong financial condition
• Rich legacy- founded in 1982
• A large pool of dedicated volunteers
• Outstanding reputation in the community
• High level of credibility
• Faithful to mission
• A fiscally responsible steward of resources
• The committed and generous donor base
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
PCE has done an outstanding job of providing pregnancy services and has built an exceptional reputation for honesty, integrity, and caring about its clients. The board has a strategic plan for the future and the capacity to implement it.
The trends for the future indicate that fewer surgical abortions will be performed due to the abortion pill RU-486. This trend will adversely impact the number of clients seeking information from pregnancy centers and shorten the time frame for making critical life-saving decisions.
