Wish Granting
To grant the special wish to local children, age birth through 20, who have been diagnosed with a life threatening disorder. A Special Wish Foundation, the only wish granting organization located in the Dayton Region, has granted over 1,600 wishes since it was founded inn 1983.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
A Special Wish Foundation strives to continue to be financial strong and grant the wishes of every deserving child battling a life threatening disorder within the Dayton, OH region
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Working closely with Dayton Children's Hospital to make contact with families once a child is diagnosed and explain the process. Continue to work within our community to inform residence of our program and how to refer a child that may be in need of the services of A Special Wish Foundation. Continue best practices when fundraising and growing our brand. Solid board involvement and participation. A Special Wish Foundation - Dayton Chapter surveys all families following each experience for feed back along with partners.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Solid strategic planning, financially strong, and a dedicated and focused employee base, board of directors and volunteer team. The team is committed to working along side doctors, nurses and families to ensure ASW is aware of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening disorder .
