Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to provide a hand up to those in need by providing basic needs as well as resources to help them lift themselves from poverty.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We provide a large quantity of healthy food to our customers. We provide a non judgmental environment and are accommodating to those who speak Spanish only. We plan to use data to understand clients better, adjust hours to meet clients needs and mirror practices on both the food and clothing pantry services.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a large amount of community support both in volunteers and in donations of needed items. We implemented a new CRM in 2021 to allow us better access to data. We are working to reduce our cost and find new resources for food and clothing.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We continue to evaluate services provided and and recently added providing free refurbished computers to those in need on a regular basis.
We saw a reduction in costs in 2021 and an increase in the amount of food and clothing items provided to customers.

- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
