What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Fatherhood Programs
Urban Light Ministries currently provides resources and training for online and community-based programs that focus on developing tools to create a safe, loving, stable and nurturing family environment. POPS 101 and Father Love face-to-face discussion groups are facilitated by experienced, certified practitioners. Participants learn how to achieve cooperation and teamwork in family life, proven conflict resolution, and problem-solving strategies, effective family communication techniques to strengthen father-child and father-mother relationships, and positive discipline tools.
Online programs are offered for no charge through Urban Light Ministries website: www.ulmcourses.org. Current online courses include POPS101, english and spanish versions. The online version of Father Love is still under development. Fatherhood programs that have been offered in the past include POPS 101, On My Shoulders, Nurturing Fathers for Life (NFL), and Father Love.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
To reach more fathers and children through the use of both online and in-person workshops and after school ministries to address the need of fatherless homes. The aim is to train fathers to become better protectors, order keepers, providers, and stabilizers in the home. It is also to reach more elementary school children and teach them about the support and encouragement they can receive from their Heavenly Father.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Urban Lights Ministries' strategies to achieve its cause of building stronger fathers and families are to:
1. Establish a Christian unity brand to build programs and communication vehicles to impact over 1 million fathers and community members for Christ.
2. Partner with outside Christian ministries to build programs and communication vehicles to impact over 1 million elementary students and children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
3. Build an online community for fathers that educates, engages and supports the reduction of father absence in the home and builds stronger communities.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Urban Light Ministries has been providing the Sonshine Clubs after school program for over 25 years and is now taking it online leveraging the curricula and resources developed for this program. Also, Urban Light Ministries has focused its efforts over the last 14 years in creating and providing effective fatherhood programs and initiatives in the greater Miami Valley Ohio area.
Through the leadership of Pastor Eli Williams, Urban Light Ministries is known as a leading authority on Fatherhood programs and children's ministries. Pastor Williams is the author of the book "Father Love" and continues to provide biblically-based resources focused on the critical needs of biological fathers in a child's life.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Urban Light Ministries has served over 3600 Fathers and touched the lives of over 18,000 children. Our goal is to continue to reach more fathers and children through the use of online resources that will allow for expanding our ministry outside the local Ohio area.
