Ohio Valley Voices teaches children who are deaf and hard of hearing (D/HH) to listen and speak. Ohio Valley Voices believes that, when given the proper tools, children who are deaf and hard of hearing can have bright futures and reach their full potential.

Family Center

Our Parent-Infant Program is an early intervention program for babies, ages 0-16 months old, who have been diagnosed with hearing loss. Sessions are held weekly & focus on listening & spoken language development for infants, as well as education, support, & advocacy training for parents & caregivers.
Our Toddler Program is a center-based intervention program for toddlers, ages 16 months-3 years old. The focus is on auditory training, language, and spoken language development.
Our Discovery Center Program is an intervention program for preschool children, ages 3-5 years old. The focus is on developing spoken language skills by practicing syntax, vocabulary, listening, & speaking.
Our Learning Center Program is an intervention program for early elementary school children from kindergarten to second grade. The focus is on enhancing listening & speaking skills & developing literacy skills.
Sessions are held year-round & offer a combination of small & large group instruction.

Academic Program is comprised of the preschool program, or Discovery Center, for ages three to five and the early elementary program, or Learning Center, for ages five to eight. Children in these centers meet five full days per week, receiving individualized and group therapy in speech, language, and auditory development. Children in the Learning Center receive an hour of direct instruction in literacy skills daily. These children receive instruction in mainstream academic subjects as well.
Additionally, our graduate services, summer school and summer camp services are run through our Academic Program budget.

Audiology Clinic provides complete services to ensure that each child receives the maximum benefit from his or her listening devices. Services include:
• Audiological assessments
• Speech perception testing
• Cochlear implant mapping, maintenance, and repair
• Hearing aid dispensing, fitting, and maintenance
• Monitoring of audiological devices
• Troubleshooting equipment
• Auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing
• Family counseling on device use and expectations
• Earmold impressions
