Paul B. Scholarship

The Paul B. Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2011 to honor the memory of Paul Bachorz. The purpose of the Paul B. Scholarship is to award grants to individuals in the motorcycle riding community to assist them in pursuing rider education and training opportunities. The Foundation will award grants of up to $250 for MOA members, or up to $100 for non-members (neither amount to exceed the actual cost of the training), towards the cost of participation in an approved training course.

The BMW MOA Foundation is working to reduce motorcycle fatalities and serious accidents involving motorcyclists.

Motorcycle accidents,injuries and fatalities can be reduced by properly training motorcycle riders and educating all highway users as to the dangers of automobile versus motorcycle collisions.

The MOA Foundation works within a vested group of 30,000 BMW motorcycle riders to offer trianing and safety awareness campaigns.

In 2017, we have funded training for over 200 motorcycle riders, launched an awareness campaign in Des Moines, IA and established a perpetual fund to train the youngest BMW MOA members.
