Our programs

Education
Education: helping current owners and potential owners of border collies to better understand the breed and its diverse needs. We begin with providing a website newsletter as a resource
- Pet Retention: keeping dogs in their homes by offering owners support and training needed to work through difficulties
- Foster Homes: volunteers provide space in their homes in order to provide obedience training, crate training, teach good dog manners and adaptability
- Adoption Services: MABCR provides both pre-adoption screening and consultation to ensure the proper match of dog and family.
- Training/Consultations: volunteers work with owners and adopters at no cost to provide information, referrals, and advice on the care and training needs after adoption.
- Community Outreach: volunteers attend events to provide an information booth and promote adoptions.
- Fundraising: MABCR has an internet storefront as well as a booth that we carry to sell merchandise.
