Network of Promotores and Community Health Workers

Network of over 4000 member promotores and CHWs from across the state. The Network provides promotores with the skills to understand and interpret the theory, methodology and evaluation associated with their community work enabling them to feel confident in a changing world. VyC brings together promotores and the organizations they represent, in California and in a growing number of states, united as one voice behind a vision of a life with dignity for all.

Our innovative training programs are designed to give promotores the information, skills and understanding they need to communicate with, organize and advocate for their communities.

-Latina Saludable es Familia Saludable (Latina Health is Family Health)
-(Abogacia y Liderazgo para Promotores) Advocacy and Leadership Training for Promotores
-Justicia Reproductiva en la Comunidad Latina (Reproductive Justice in the Latino Community)
-Prevencion de Suicidio safeTALK (safeTALK: Suicide Prevention)
-Salsa, Sabor y Salud
-Bienestar Emotional (Emotional Wellbeing)
-Tu Corazon. Tu Salud (Your Heart. Your Health)

Improve long-term sustainability for the community transformation model and ensure that workforce opportunities for promotores and other community leaders are meaningful and economically just.

Promote changes to organizational policies and practices that will support full integration of the community transformation model into health and other sectors.
Focus Area 3:
Foster sustainable partnerships to guide research and evaluation efforts that will support the community transformation model.
