EVERYONE'S CHILD INC
Changing a generation through education
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Everyone's Child is currently working on providing primary school education to a community in western Kenya. In mid-2017, our Program Coordinator discovered a school that was filled with children, but there was no teacher on site. In the following months we learned that the Kenyan government had built the school but soon afterward ran out of funds, so the school was not able to be registered with the government. This meant that no teachers were hired to teach the children. EC paid for two trained teachers to be hired and for teacher manuals to be purchased. The school now needs two latrines and a well as there is no fresh water on site.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Orphan Feeding Program
The Orphan Feeding Program currently feeds between 150 - 250 orphaned and displaced students a daily meal at four primary schools in Kenya.
Educational Student Scholarship Program
It is the policy of EC to offer scholarships to orphaned secondary students who are eligible to attend Bishop Edward Donovan Secondary School (BEDSS) in Lanet Umoja, Kenya. This program expanded to western Kenya in 2017.
EC Mentorship Program
The EC Mentorship Program provides orphaned secondary school students in Forms 3 and 4 (11th and 12th grades) with life skills training. The purpose of the program is to provide these students with skills they will need once they graduate from high school.
India Project Help
Everyone's Child has partnered with other established organizations in India to feed, educate and clothe orphaned and vulnerable children.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The goals of Everyone's Child, Inc. for 2019 - 2020 are as follows:
1. To feed between 400+ orphaned and at-risk students at five primary schools in Kenya.
2. To financially support 15 - 20 orphaned secondary students in eastern and western Kenya.
3. To provide a mentorship program for these same secondary students.
4. To complete an NGO registration with the Kenyan government.
5. To connect middle school and high school students in the USA with their peers in two schools in Kenya. 6.To continue expanding our borders by reaching out to needy school children in India.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We will continue to raise funds by connecting with current and past contributors, by reaching out to find new supporters with individual and in group settings, and via online and mailing campaigns.
We connect with middle and high school students by visiting schools where we have been invited to present the vision of EC.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
In the past year, Everyone's Child (EC) has been able to raise significant funds toward the above mentioned goals. With the contacts we have made and the use of online technology, we believe that we will be able to achieve our goals for this coming year.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
To date, Everyone's Child has fed and supported hundreds of school-aged children who might otherwise not have been able to attend school due to hunger or lack of funding. We have also supported 40 high school and college students, many of who have been orphaned, allowing them the ability to earn a high school and/or college degree. In 2016 EC was able to install a second rain harvesting water tank at our primary school in Kampi Ya Moto so students and staff no longer have to collect water from a nearby contaminated stream. In 2017 we raised funds to help re-build a dilapidated preschool building in Lanet Umoja, Kenya. In 2018 we helped establish an EC Kenya Board of Directors, with membership extending beyond tribal barriers to include people from eastern and western Kenya. In 2019 we plan to complete our Kenyan NGO registration, allowing members to operate and raise funds without any governmental restrictions. Finally, through our writing program (Messages of Mercy), EC has connected hundreds of primary, middle and high school students in the USA and Kenya, allowing children on both sides of the globe to feel connected, validated and important in the lives of others.
