Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

NMD United is working to make living with a neuromuscular disability easier.

NMD United uses a combination of peer support, information distribution, service referral, advocacy and financial relief efforts.

The entire Board of Directors of NMD United is fully comprised of people successfully living with neuromuscular disabilities. We all fundamentally understand the challenges and barriers of this target population.

The most successful initiative of NMD United so far is our Alex Landis Empowerment Fund (ALEF) grant opportunities. Under this program, NMD United provides direct cash grants to help cover the expenses of Personal Care Assistant Advertising, Consumable Medical Supplies, Assistive Technology, Durable Medical Equipment & Accessible Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Another successful component of NMD United is our "Virtual University". With this effort, we use videoconferencing to provide community engagement and practical information distribution.
