NMD United, Inc.
Connecting adults living with neuromuscular disabilities.
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
NMD United is working to address a dearth of information and resources available to adults living with the various forms of neuromuscular disabilities. NMD United addresses the needs through peer support, advocacy and direct grant opportunities.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Alex Landis Emergency Fund (ALEF)
The Alex Landis Emergency Fund (ALEF) is named after one of NMD United's founders who died unexpectedly in 2015. The purpose of the fund is to help adults with neuromuscular disabilities who are experiencing a crisis related to their ability to live independently.
Virtual University
NMD United Virtual University is the place for adults with neuromuscular disabilities to discuss important issues relevant to their lives and independence. We host webinar discussions on an as-needed, as-requested basis. These discussions and informative webinars cost nothing to attend.
