Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The goal of JMA Ministries is to reach unreached/ unengaged people around Refugee Community in States and in the country of Burma, as preaching the Gospel and make disciples to multiply. We aim to do that through the help of the great God, His people's partnership and building the bridges of the Gospel as providing physical, educational, mental, and spiritual need of the people group we serves. In the past years, God has blessed us with 207 people found and be baptized who were the background of Muslim, Buddhist, and Animist. We aim to support our native missionary, learning center, mission center in two location and Orphans in Burma. Weather it's through education and community development, we aim to build relationship with our Burma community for further Gospel presentation through our learning center in Burma which include, ESL class, Sewing Class, Pre-school and Computer class.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
In Burma, JMA Ministries uses various forms of community development to open doors to share the Gospel where it has not been heard. We work with the native missionary family for building bridges for the Gospel as children ministry, pre-school, teaching young people as Missionary Training School, free sewing class, free computer class, and free English class. In Clarkston, JMA Ministries uses building bridges for the Gospel for the Refugee community such as Clothes Distribution, Foods Evangelism, Furniture Distribution and House to house evangelism. We also do Leadership Training in different States, Discipleship Class in Apartments, Planting House Churches in communities for making disciples.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
As our Executive Director, James Amar and his wife are born and grow up in Burma, they have more then 10 years experience of evangelism and church planting ministry in Burma before he came to US. They oversee orphan children and taught at different Bible College including our missionary training school. They both have the country' University degree and Biblical degree such as Bachelor of Science, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry. James and his wife Ei Ei knows the culture, tradition and languages even the political movement, organization of authority. James had started over 360 house churches in 4 different states since 2007 in Burma with his faithful friends and family. We have been able to partner with donors here in the US to meet the needs of all of our programs. We have not had to end any program and we have several programs expanding, we have been also building tri-purpose for the Community Learning Center, Orphanage, Chapel in the Yangon city.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have been planted 9 house churches in States, baptized 207 new believers. We have been distributing over 1500lbs of rice every month to Refugees. We have been supporting missionary family in Clarkston, Georgia. We also provided micro-business for the Orphanage in Burma to cover up their educational expenses. We trained 10 students to become full time missionary in rural area of Burma. We Built 3 Story of Building in Burma for Chapel, Orphanage, and Community learning center. We provided 30 orphans school supplies, foods, and shelters. In the future, we have a vision to plant 100 house churches in the refugee community in 2030 for disciple making purpose. We have accomplished the goal of the orphanage building in Yangon and Mission center in OSP in Myanmar. We have not accomplished the financial budget for the coming years.
