Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

It is the vision of Child Lane that every child and family will have the tools they need to lead successful lives now and in the future; that every child and family will have a safe, nurturing educational environment in which children can grow and learn and that parents can participate in the educational and community processes which affect the lives of their children.

Child Lane's dream is that all families, regardless of income and circumstances, find safe, secure, and high-quality childcare, so they can focus on self-sufficiency and growth. With more families able to join the workforce while their children receive education and opportunities to prepare them to be successful in kindergarten and beyond, our communities will become stronger.

Our strategy is to provide children with the highest quality of care while supporting families career and educational growth to build self-sufficiency within the communities we serve.

Child Lane provides Early Care and Education, Nutrition, and Family Support Services to the Long Beach and Harbor communities. Founded in 1984, Child Lane has grown from serving a handful of children to serving nearly 7,000 children a day through our Early Care and Education Program and Nutrition Program. We understand a healthy and stable home and community provides the best environment for children, and it is our mission to provide care in an environment where play is valued and children are supported to be their full potential.
