Mastermedia International exists to be a life-changing Christian voice among media leaders and cultural influencers. We seek to identify and connect with top and emerging media leaders—the world's most influential mission field. We serve and promote prayer for Christians and non-Christians working in media who significantly impact our culture, and share the Gospel with those who respond.

Many media leaders and cultural influencers have little authentic Christian presence in their lives and limited exposure to a sound/reasoned biblical worldview. They hold immeasurable influence because they daily determine what the world views on its screens. The programs offered on their media platforms enter our cultural conversation from nearly every media format, providing a persuasive lens that shapes individual and world views in every corner of the globe. They are the most influential professionals in the world—and the most under-served by the Christian community. In addition, Americans who self-identify as Christians do not have a “voice" regarding the media that permeates our culture. Mastermedia is earning a place at the table among media leadership for those who are not represented. We are a positive, life-changing Christian voice among media leaders and cultural influencers.

Serving Media Professionals

Since 1985, Mastermedia has been a marketplace ministry, a Christian presence in the entertainment industry in Hollywood and New York. We connect with, serve, and promote prayer for top and emerging media leaders and influencers, a people group that has little authentic Christian presence and limited exposure to a sound biblical worldview.

We believe media is the world’s most powerful cultural influencer. As the hearts of media leaders and media makers are changed by the love of Christ, there will be a transformative impact on the media they present and produce.

The ministry’s foundational focus is traditional media, with a keen awareness of three other media spheres—digital, independent, and global media. Mastermedia’s mission embraces a broad, evolving, range of opportunities for sharing the gospel with those who influence media. Initiating trust relationships with media leaders and entering into their conversations often leads to sharing God’s truth with them.

As a marketplace ministry and a Christian presence in the media industry, Mastermedia's calling is to intersect with top and emerging media professionals in the workplace and, by God's grace, see their spiritual lives and world view transformed. As the hearts of media influencers are changed by the love of Christ, there will be a transformative impact on the media they present and produce.

We seek (1) legitimate strategies to support and serve media professionals at all levels, both those who are people of faith and those who are not; (2) increased access to and favor with top/emergent media influencers, resulting in more one-to-one redemptive relationships; (3) more media professionals experiencing and understanding the positive benefits of knowing God personally; (4) an increased number of Christians and churches praying through the Media Leader Prayer Calendar and on Oscar Sunday.

We are also expanding our digital community in order to support the objectives above and increase real-world community connections—our ultimate goal.

We build trust relationships with top media leaders and emerging media voices through personal and professional outreach initiatives for the purpose of communicating God's love. These connections usually take place at industry venues (i.e. the Sundance Film Festival and other media/industry events) and are followed by one-to-one meetings in the executive's office or other locations.

We offer professional consulting services (at no cost) via our “Corporate Seminar" to provide media's decision-makers with insights on understanding the global Christian community as a vast potential market for programming across all platforms. As one top publisher said, “We don't understand your people—and we need to."

We promote prayer for media leaders/cultural influencers and let them know that tens of thousands of people nationwide are praying for them on their day. This personal connection often leads to further conversation and facilitates the development of redemptive relationships with media professionals. We pray for media leaders, centers, and makers throughout the world and mobilize the church to pray along with us.

We provide a culturally relevant Christian lens to mainstream media via our website and publications. In order to provide a wider entry point for those whom we serve, we are presently working on developing our brand presence and ministry capabilities in order to attract interest on all social media platforms.

We serve current and emerging Christian filmmaking and programming communities by praying, casting vision, lending words of wisdom, and inspiring them to act in a Christ-like manner within the media. We provide encouragement by nurturing the flames of their passion for redemptive storytelling and providing spiritual enrichment through regular gatherings and online and face-to-face Bible studies.

We mentor future leaders of media through venues like the Sundance Film Festival, student internships (at least 70 young men and women have been placed into responsible positions as media interns at a major network and other media companies in the past 6 years), and student media forums for Christian media students in their final year of college to dialogue with seasoned media professionals about what it's like to work in the industry as a believer.

Over a period of 32 years, Mastermedia has established itself in the media industry as a credible, confidential Christian voice among media leaders and cultural influencers.

Our positive approach as trusted advisors who are professionally relevant and demonstrate unconditional love and concern has been well received by thousands of media professionals, regardless of their participation in a faith community. The chairman and CEO of one of the best-known global cable network groups said of his friendship with Mastermedia staff, “We have a long and mutually respectful relationship."

Despite ongoing turnover of media leadership in the entertainment industry, we have consistently averaged connecting with all 10 of the top 10 most powerful/influential people in media, 45 of the top 50, and 40% of the top 1000.

Among our field staff, we have a combined total of 131 years of experience building relationships with media leaders and influencers in Hollywood, New York, and beyond.

Since 1989 we have prayed for media leaders, centers, and makers throughout the world and mobilized thousands in the Christian community to pray along with us. To date it is estimated that a minimum of 20 million prayers have been prayed for media leaders by name through our Media Leader Prayer Calendar.

What Mastermedia has accomplished so far:

To the best of our knowledge, Mastermedia has inspired the longest ongoing movement of prayer for media ever. The Media Leader Prayer Calendar was launched in 1989 and thousands of Christians nationwide are still using it to pray daily for media leaders and influencers by name.

Mastermedia has produced four National Media Prayer Breakfasts, bringing media leaders and influencers together with the non-media Christian community that prays for them.

Mastermedia has produced six Summit of Christian Media Professional events. These three-day conferences provide encouragement, inspiration, and spiritual nurture for Christians in high-level positions in the media industry. Over 90% of attendees have called the Summits “life-changing."

On the 2017 and 2018 National Days of Prayer, Mastermedia co-produced Legacy: An Evening of Honor and Prayer at CBS Studio City. These gatherings of more than 400 Christians working in media honored media professionals who are living lives of faith and integrity in the media marketplace. Attendees also prayed together for shared areas of need as Christians in media.

The Corporate Seminar has been presented to executives at more than 20 media companies to help them see the media they produce and present as the Christian community sees it.

Members of our field team consistently attend media trade conferences, awards shows, premieres, screenings, luncheons, and other media events to connect and develop relationships with top media leaders and emerging media voices.

Ongoing small group Bible studies, one-to-one meetings, and larger gatherings for Christians working in media are regularly sponsored by Mastermedia.

We are expanding our digital platform to provide a wider entry point and facilitate greater connection among those whom we serve. This will enhance our present strategies and lead to more face-to-face connections, which is our ultimate goal.

As Mastermedia's online presence increases, awareness will grow and response will accelerate, leading to more opportunities for engaging media professionals in conversation and building real-world community, connection, and redemptive relationships.

We are grafting in an emerging generation of Christian media professionals by reaching out on university campuses throughout the nation. Our long-term involvement in the Windrider Forum at the Sundance Film Festival gives us relational access to leading Christian film schools. By God's grace , we are a respected voice that can be called upon to inspire an emerging generation of Christian media professionals to integrate their faith with their career.

As a Christian presence in the entertainment industry, we continue to bridge the gap between media and the Christian community.
