TREE OF LIFE

The TREE OF LIFE, is a beautiful display on a wall located the Hospital lobby. It is a permanent symbol of giving to insure excellence in patient care inthe Kern Valley. Gifts donated to the Kern Valley Hospital Foundation for the TREE OF LIFE are used to purchase equipment for the KVHD. The leaves on the TREE OF LIFE represent gifts of $200 or more. A leaf is inscribed with the contributor's name and placed on the TREE OF LIFE in recognition of their donation. At the base of the tree are small stones that represent donations of $500 or more and large stones that represent donations of $1000 or more. To participate in the TREE OF LIFE, all a contributor has to do is fill out a simple form and thereby provide a permanent remembrance. The TREE OF LIFE is located on a wall in the lobby of the Hospital. A beautiful display of a large tree with golden leaves that are engraved with names of loved ones. Stones are available for engraving and are displayed on the wall around the base of the tree.

Every Friday evening in the month of August at Riverside Park in Kernville we provide free concerts to the community. Provides great community camaraderie along with providing cultural appreciation of music from different genres. This event provides many in our community to experience something they would otherwise not be exposed to because of their limited resources and lack of reliable transportation to travel outside the Kern Valley.

This is also a wonderful event that brings families together.
