What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

There are an estimated 153 million orphans and 65 million refugees worldwide. Some of these orphans have lost one parent, some both, and some are "virtual' orphans that have been turned out on the streets by their families. These children and refugees represent some of the most vulnerable people in the world, they are in need of support, care, education, and hope.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We seek to equip, inspire, and mobilize the church to care for orphans, widows, vulnerable families, and refugees through our main model of care - Home Based Care.

We partner churches in the US with churches in the developing world to provide vulnerable families with food, medical care, education, trauma counseling, spiritual development, and access to economic empowerment programs.

Because we work in partnership with local churches, our programs are scalable. We have a growing network of both US and international churches. We provide ongoing training and equipping to our network of churches in twelve countries through local experts and US church teams. We mobilize over 300 people from US churches each year to go and serve alongside international church partners.

Enrollment at our certified refugee school in Iraq has increased to 500 students. 80% of the Yazidi and Shubak refugee families whom we provided temporary housing to have returned home following the defeat of ISIS and stability in their villages. 150 caregivers in Ethiopia are saving money for the future as part of our economic empowerment program. 40 newly displaced Syrian refugee families have been provided with a home in northern Iraq. A few of our goals over the next 12-24 months are to expand our economic empowerment program in Ethiopia to include small business loans to 150 caregivers, and begin pilot savings programs in Haiti and Guatemala. We will complete construction of a medical clinic for refugees and IDPs in northern Iraq and expand enrollment in our refugee school from 500 to 1000 students.
