The simple power of love in action
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
The essence of the "problem" is that the world needs a Savior and our solution is to introduce everyone we serve to Jesus. The rest of our work grows out of a desire to grow in His love and become more like Him.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Children's Services
We started with children centers in Mozambique and have expanded our impact with ministry centers throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. In the children centers, we care holistically for the child by offering healthcare, education, and a family atmosphere. We also work closely with families to support their ability to keep their family intact and thriving.
Community Development
We have a variety of programs to facilitate development in the communities we serve. Programs are uniquely adapted to fit the needs relevant to specific regions. Our programs include, but are not limited to education, discipleship, small business development, sustainability programs, and healthcare.
Missions (outreach & evangelism)
We plant churches primarily throughout Mozambique, but also in Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Brazil, and many other countries. We also train national pastors and host discipleship seminars. Our Missions Schools equip students to be sent out as missionaries. We have one program dedicated to supplying and distributing Bibles.
Impoverished Women's Care
We teach a variety of vocational skills, provide food and clothing, assist in finding an outlet for the sale of goods produced, and teach small business principles. Their lives are being enriched through education and encouragement by being knit into our family. They appreciate the wider family structure we cultivate since many are widowed, abandoned, separated or on their own with children.
Education
Many of the areas that we serve in do not have a strong education system, so we start schools to help people of all ages learn to read and write. Education is a precious way to invest in people, strengthen the community, and share the love of God.
Well Drilling
Countless communities we serve do not have ready access to water and people often have to walk many miles just to find water. Even then it may not be clean and many people are sick and dying as a result. In response, and as an integral part of our mission, Iris has a large well-drilling rig to support this area of great need. We are one of the few organizations with the equipment and government permission to drill wells throughout the province of Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
Public Health
We are educating the community on the essentials of public health, nutrition, disease prevention and basic hygiene. We also have opportunities to teach about AIDs prevention through abstinence as well as assist mothers during pregnancy. It is our goal for people to want to make right behavioral choices to stay healthy. People are very attentive and ask many questions during these teaching sessions.

Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our current and expanding network of centers operate existing programs and pioneer new initiatives.
We are establishing additional schools, feeding programs, mobile clinics, strengthening and supporting families, and providing full-time care for vulnerable children in crisis. In times of disaster we are responding with food, clothing, and repairing and building homes.
Training centers are continuously increasing in capacity and adding new locations.
And through our child sponsorship program, Stop for the One, we are directly supporting children, families, and communities.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
At Iris Global we are willing to go "low and slow" to make sure our programs are done with excellence. This means everything from working through all government channels to make sure our programs are in compliance with national standards to creating an educational environment free of corruption so students can learn and succeed without fear.
We work hard to train our missionaries and instill common values to confidently release them to pioneer new programs.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are establishing additional schools, feeding programs, mobile clinics, strengthening and supporting families, and providing full-time care for vulnerable children in crisis.
In times of disaster we are responding with food, clothing and repairing and building homes.
Training centers are increasing capacity and adding new locations.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We are committed to establishing holistic approaches in addressing the needs in the regions we are presently in. This includes housing, feed, education, employment. Additionally, we care for nearly 10,000 children daily, with locations in 35 countries. Our faith-based leadership training has trained and equipped well over 30,000 to be workers in developing countries.
Development and construction continues for Iris University in Pemba, Mozambique. This is a main goal and need for the region as we are committed to providing higher education as a pathway toward transformation and development.
