Mission

Many areas of rural Vietnam still lack essential health services and educational opportunities provided in the larger city areas. By providing Portable Libraries of Viet language children's books to schools, along with teacher training and workshops in literacy education, GVF expands education for Vietnam's underserved rural poor. By providing dental health education and training through our Dental Health Education Project, we bring much needed dental hygiene education to the same underserved rural areas traditionally lacking in dental services.

Portable Library Project: Provides portable libraries of Viet language children's books, along with teacher training in their use, to rural schools throughout Vietnam, allowing use and sharing of the books by several schools and grades within a particular rural area.
Dental Hygiene Education Project: Brings dental professionals from the US, Japan, and Europe to do emergency dental services to remote rural areas. Provides teacher education and training in teaching dental hygiene, along with distribution of "dental health kits" to village children in poor rural locations.
