Classes
OLLI-UA offers a wide variety of classes based on surveys of members' interests. Similar to a traditional academic calendar, classes are held in the Fall, Spring, and Summer.

Members participate in a variety of social activities with their home campus.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
1- To increase the quantity of involved volunteers.
2 - To enhance staffing structure.
3 - To ensure sustained funding of OLLI-UA operations.
4 - To ensure adequate facilities, technology, social programming, and SGL's to meet the membership's expectations.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Goal 1: To increase the quantity of involved volunteers.
Strategy 1. Implement recruitment and incentive methods for participants/users.
Strategy 2. Develop a culture of ownership via volunteering.
Strategy 3: Design ways for temporary residents to volunteer.
Goal 2: To enhance staffing structure
Strategy 1. Align staffing with organizational needs, considering quantity and competencies.
Strategy 2. Clarify and/or develop funding resources for the next five years.
Goal 3: To ensure sustained funding of OLLI-UA operations.
Strategy 1. Grow the membership.
Strategy 2. Develop diversified funding streams through grant applications, ongoing fundraising, corporate opportunities, and member dues.
Goal 4: To ensure adequate facilities, technology, social programming, and SGL's to meet the membership's expectations.
Strategy 1. Investigate and implement remote classroom technologies.
Strategy 2. Encourage cross-campus curriculum committee meeting to share best practices, course ideas, and promote SGL recruiting or sharing.
Strategy 3: Explore linkage with outside organizations for collective action through sharing of space and speakers.
Strategy 4: Develop University of Arizona faculty contacts and message.
Strategy 5: Encourage all campuses to develop specific programs tailored to the diverse needs of their community.
Strategy 6: Explore multi-campus/all member annual events.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The above will be accomplished 2016-2021 under the joint leadership of the Board of Directors and Program Manager. Board level committees have been established and regular evaluation of progress will occur.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Accomplishments:
Marketing and messaging has adjusted to focus on a member-volunteer focus, rather than a member-recipient focus.
The staffing structure has been reviewed for current need, and an additional staff position was created and hired.
Membership grew 13.6% from 2015 to 2016.
First cross-campus event held in Feb, 2015.
In Progress:
Facilities and technology are slated for improvements in the 2016-2017 academic year.
Inter-location technology is being beta tested for Spring 2017.
