Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Ohio Emergency Food Purchase Program (OFP): High protein and staple items are distributed to food pantries at no cost to help them stretch their food dollars further and prepare for the end of welfare reform. These products have included such items as peanut butter, tuna fish, macaroni & cheese, spaghetti noodles, spaghetti sauce, beef stew, corn, green beans, pork & beans and chicken noodle soupeaches, pork & beans, tuna fish, egg noodles, spaghetti noodles, spaghetti sauce, corn and personal care items such as paper towels, bath tissue and soaregional and local companies who donate excess product to the Food Bank. Member agencies of the Food Bank are assessed a flat 18 cents per pound fee to cover handling costs. This fee is a standard practice by all of the nearly 200 America's Second Harvest Food Banks across the country.
