Mission

The Roller Skating Foundation is a 501(c)3 corporation operated exclusively to raise money for educational programs, self-esteem and safety programs, and generally promote fitness through roller skating. The Foundation operates for the following charitable and educational purposes: To promote physical fitness, build self-esteem among school-age children and discourage unsafe undesirable activities. To establish and provide scholarships and grants to deserving high school and undergraduate students. To promote family values by providing families with opportunities to participate together in the sport of roller skating. To promote safety and risk management programs. To receive, administer, distribute, and expend funds in furtherance of the Foundation's goals.

Roller Skating Foundation Scholarships

The Roller Skating Foundation provides seven scholarships totaling $12,000. These scholarships will be awarded to the following individuals:
Three scholarships in the amount of $3000/$2000/$1000 awarded to an RSA member rink owner's family member or employee, or employee's family member.
One scholarship in the amount of $3000 awarded to an RSM affiliate member owner's family member or employee, or employee's family member. 
Three scholarships in the amount of $1000 each awarded to a roller skating athlete in the categories of art, speed, and hockey.
The requirements of each scholarship will be listed on each respective application.
Applicants must meet the criteria to be considered for each scholarship.

Through its various fundraising efforts and grants program, The Roller Skating Foundation seeks to support schools’ educational programs, promote physical fitness, provide scholarships to deserving high school and undergraduate students, and promote the sport of roller skating.
The Roller Skating Foundation is proud to offer grants, to deserving schools, nationwide, assisting them in funding their programs. Throughout the year, the Roller Skating Foundation will be providing a number of grants. These grants are available to schools, educators, and volunteers, seeking assistance in accomplishing educational objectives and fitness-related goals. Typical grant awards will be in the $250 to $1000 range.
The following criteria will be used when determining grant recipients: need, creativity, priority
(Consideration will be given to projects directed towards roller skating, as well as innovative projects aimed at improving physical fitness or education, and the number of students served.
