Mission

To provide household furnishings to families and individuals as they rebuild their lives after suffering disaster, personal tragedy or other misfortunes.

Notes from the nonprofit

The Mustard Seed Furniture Bank of Fort Wayne provide basic household furniture, linens and kitchenware that most of us take for granted. Clients are able to take empty rooms, cabinets and shelves in to a furnished home. Being donation-based from the generosity of our community sofa/loveseats, end/coffee tables and lamps grace a space to enjoy time family and friends. Kitchen cabinets are filled with dinnerware, utensils, pots/pans, storage containers, counter-top appliances, bakeware and so much more so meals can be prepared and enjoyed on dining/kitchen tables and chairs. Bed time is more relaxing with beds for adults and children, through their Beds4Kids Program, with beds, frames and linens for a night of restful slumber. Bath towels for a fresh start to a day or a comfortable closure to our client's day. Being self-funded allowing for the mission to continue to rebuild lives in northeast Indiana. Donate today - we cannot continue to furnish help without you!

Home Furnishings & Beds4Kids Program(s)

The Mustard Seed provides basic household furniture, linens and kitchenware to families and individuals who are referred in to our agency from a 7-county area of northeast Indiana. Each household's referral is submitted by a social-service, faith-based group, church or school following a home - in-person/virtual - home visit.

Children, ages 2-17, whose family is referred in for services and are needing a bed of their own are touched by the Beds4Kids Program that provides a new platform bed frame, mattress and pillow along with a set of sheets and blanket for a night of restful sleep.

Both the mission and Beds4Kids program are supported through donations of material and financial means and allocations to a specific program are respected.
