BRAZOS BEND GUARDIANSHIP SERVICES

Obtaining legal guardianship of an incapacitated loved one is a costly process and one that many families are not able to afford.  BBGS offers an assistance program to families that financially qualify to help them obtain guardianship of their incapaciated loved one.  BBGS screens applicants for eligibility and conducts a Social History with the family.  Qualified families are typically offered a scholarship to help pay the cost of the applicant attorney.

Assist disabled adults living independently with a cognitive disability who need assistance managing their monthly income. The agency helps ensure the client's bills are being paid while trying to help them maintain their independence for as long as possible.

Brazos Bend Guardianship Services is legally appointed by the courts to serve as the guardian for incapaciated adults who need a guardian, but have no family willing or qualified to serve in that role. As guardian we see our clients on a regular basis and we make informed decisions on their behalf and advocate for their needs. We are trying to help protect these adults from becoming victims of abuse.
