What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Traditional Scholars Program

This program is intended to assist individuals who are recent high school graduates or college freshmen by providing a low-interest, forgivable loan. The Questa Scholars Program assists families where there is a gap between the cost of attendance and the family's financial responsibility. Funding for the Questa Scholars Program is available for attaining a certificate, associate or bachelor's degree. $5,000 is awarded per year, up to $20,000 for a 4 year degree, and $10,000 for a certificate or associate’s degree.

Questa's 50% forgiveness is dependent upon degree completion as well as living and working in one of the 11 counties of northeast Indiana (Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Kosciusko, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley) for 5 years after college graduation.

Questa Scholars who graduate from one of our regional partner schools (Grace College, Huntington University, Indiana Tech, *Purdue Fort Wayne, *IU Fort Wayne, Ivy Tech, Manchester University, Trine University, and University of Saint Francis), will receive an additional 25% loan reduction upon graduation.

*Forgiveness may vary per partner institution and program.

Population(s) Served

Questa Education Foundation’s Contemporary Scholar Program is open for adult learners, returning students with some college credit, and/or students within the last two years of completing their degree. Funding is for individuals who are seeking their first certificate, associate's or bachelor's degree and who have encountered a financial gap in affording their education. Up to $5,000 is awarded per yer, depending on degree track.

The Contemporary Scholars Program is a forgivable low interest loan. When a Contemporary Scholar lives and works in northeast Indiana for 5 years following college graduation, Questa will forgive 50% of the scholars loan. As a student at one of Questa's partner schools (Grace College, Huntington University, Indiana Tech, *Purdue Fort Wayne, *Indiana University Fort Wayne, Ivy Tech, Indiana Wesleyan Fort Wayne, Manchester University, Trine University, or University of Saint Francis), the scholar will receive an additional 25% loan reduction upon graduation.
