Mission

Grant Healthcare Foundation was formed from the 1994 sale of Grant Hospital of Chicago, which was opened in 1883. We continue in its tradition by awarding grants to organizations that provide healthcare services to the people of the Chicago metropolitan area. Some of our funding supports hospitals, community clinics, school-based health centers, end-of-life care, reproductive care, rehabilitation and maintenance of the disabled, substance abuse services and medical research for "orphaned" diseases
