Mission

As Friar Servants of Mary, we gather as a small community of priests and brothers to be at the foot of those countless crosses where Christ is still being crucified. We choose to share in the ministry of the compassion of Jesus Christ through our preaching and retreats, parish work and education, prayer and counseling.

The Servite spirit continues to inspire young men to join the Order, often men from less privileged backgrounds. The Servite formation program assists these men with their education, allowing them to discern their call to religious life and become the future of compassionate ministry.

Servite High School in Anaheim, CA, has been under the care of the Servite Order since 1957. From its beginnings in an unfinished building with 110 inaugural students, Servite High School has grown much larger with an enrollment of around 965 today. From its inception, Servite High School has emphasized developing faith-filled leaders in preparation for college and adulthood.
