There are on any given night over 300 homeless people in Will County, Illinois. There are also many near homeless or impoverished in need of food support.

180 Club

6 month addiction or homeless recovery program for men.

Serve three meals a day Monday through Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Served over 165,000 meals.

A day drop in center that allows guests to access computers to find jobs and housing. Each guest must meet with a casemanager for evaluation. It also allows guest to have a safe place to stay during the day.

Motel style rooms available for families who find themselves homeless and are wishing to make a new start. Each room has three beds abd are connecting to allow for a larger family to stay together.

3/4 house for men graduating for the 180 club program. The participants must have a job and pay a minimal rent. They are required to attend weekly support groups and church. They are still casemanged but on a monthly basis instead of daily or weekly. The participants are re-evaluated every six months to see if another six months is needed or desired.

MorningStar Mission has established the Veterans Housing Program. The program will serve individuals who are Veterans and are experiencing homelessness. The goal of this program is to help end homelessness and bring stability through comprehensive Case Management services.
MorningStar Mission is committed to this program by providing Comprehensive Case Management. The Case Managers will have intense involvement with participants, tailoring a service plan to access programs and services reflective of their needs and goals. Participants will build on their strengths.

Offering 3 meals per day Monday through Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday. Offering emergency shelter to men, recovery programs to men, women and families. Permanent supportive housing for veterans and housing for pregnant women looking for an alternative to abortion.

We currently have 152 beds

It is an ongoing need which we continue to meet head on.
