aka Oak Park Runners Club   |   Oak Park, IL   |  www.oprc.net

Mission

Oak Park Runners Club’s mission is to encourage participation in the sport of running in the Oak Park, IL and surrounding communities guided by the four core values of the Club: openness, preparedness, resilience, and camaraderie. Oak Park Runners Club is one of the oldest and most active running groups in the Chicago area. We run every Monday evening, Wednesday evening, and Saturday morning. We run all year, all weather, except lightning. We have socials, trail runs, and monthly meetings. We compete on the CARA Circuit, host the Good Life Race 5K, and volunteer at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Oak Park, which is in our name, is where we are based. However, about 30% of our members live in neighboring towns and 6% live out of state!
