Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
In Minnesota, there are over 100,000 people living with a disability as a result of brain injury. Since every brain injury is unique, there are over 100,000 different ways to approach brain injury recovery and rehabilitation.
The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance understands that life after brain injury can be difficult to navigate. We are here for anyone that has been affected by brain injury including family, friends, co-workers and medical professionals to ensure that everyone finds their way through the system of available resources, services and supports.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
1. Expand and enhance the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance's programs for people affected by brain injury, their families and professionals in the field.
2. Lead the setting of public policies on behalf of people who are living with brain injury in a non partisan fashion.
3. Strengthen the awareness of brain injury through improved branding and marketing of the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance.
4. Strengthen the organizational capacity of the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance to meet the growing need for services.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are the only non profit organization in Minnesota solely dedicated to serving the needs of individuals affected by brain injury. We are also the largest statewide organization of its kind in the nation.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In 2017, the staff of the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance had 44,465 connections with individuals affected by brain injury. This was accomplished through the supports, services and programs offered through Case Management, Resource Facilitation, Education and Community Outreach, and Public Policy.
