Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Public orchestral and choral concerts

Annually present 7 orchestral concerts, some including choral music, in the western suburbs of Chicago. Concert programs include both classical and popular music.

Population(s) Served
Adults

Each year, we invite high school instrumentalists and vocalists to complete for the opportunity to perform in concert with our orchestra and receive a $500 cash prize. We have done this every year since our founding, to support young musicians. We place no restrictions on competitors' geographic home, but most applicants come from Illinois.

Population(s) Served
Adolescents

Each year, we present a day of educational concerts targeted at students in grades 3-6, who attend as part of school field trips. These concerts introduce students to the instruments of an orchestra, through demonstrations and performance of classical and popular music and through instruction by the orchestra's conductor.

Population(s) Served
Children and youth
