Programs
THE ORGANIZATION HAS ENTERED INTO PARTNERSHIPS WITH STATE AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO INTEGRATE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES INTO A PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SETTING ALONG WITH MOTIVATING PRIMARY CARE GIVERS TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL USE IN PREGNANCY. OTHER PROJECTS RELATE TO FAMILIES WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEMS AND STUDIES ON INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION.
Camp SOAR
Children's Research Triangle operates Camp SOAR, an overnight camp for children with special needs. The camp is designed to allow children with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism and other handicapping conditions to enjoy a typical camp experience. Each child has a one on one volunteer aide throughout the week.
