Healthy Schools Campaign

Every child deserves to learn and thrive.

aka HSC; Formerly Generation Green Fund   |   Chicago, IL   |  www.healthyschoolscampaign.org

Mission

HSC advocates for policies and practices that allow all students to have access to healthy school environments where they can learn and thrive, including good nutrition, physical activity, basic safety, clean air and water, and access to comprehensive physical and mental health services. We create change at individual schools by bringing together parents, teachers, principals, school nurses, students, policymakers and partners to raise a strong voice for healthy schools, using lessons learned from this work to advocate for district, state and national policy changes. In light of the vast health disparities in our nation, we focus on policies affecting children in under-resourced BIPOC communities, and strive to make equity part of the public dialogue about education and health.
