We aid Peruvian families by providing for fundamental needs, promoting education and job training, and developing strong self-sustaining community programs. Our work takes place primarily in Callao in the depressed urban areas and shantytowns on the outskirts of Lima. In 2007 and 2008 we are expanding the benefits of our integral programs to Viru (northern Peru) and Ica (southern Peru).

We serve more than 50,000 people living within 30 "barrios," or neighborhoods, where between 80-90% of the population have unsatisfied basic needs and live in extreme poverty. Coprodeli has established efficient and effective programs, including:

- Humanitarian Aid: clothing, food distribution funded by USAID, 3 dental and medical clinics.
- Education: 10 elementary and secondary schools, 13 libraries, 2 adult education centers.
- Drug Prevention: 5 "Mundobus" mobile education and recreation centers for at-risk children.
- Outreach to Homeless Children: 7 shelters providing integral assistance and 2 orphanages (boys/girls).
- Employment Generation: vocational and IT training, job placement for disadvantaged youth, a business incubator funded by the IDB, and support of 175 micro-enterprises. This program includes the Fair Trade initiative in support of Peruvian artisans (www.cjusto.org).
- Housing: new dignified construction to replace provisional reed huts.
